We’ve been working with Spitaflield’s Farm on a strategic masterplan to help upgrade and improve this incredible community asset. Our masterplan identified the Farm’s most valuable and unique characteristics and proposed a strategy that would allow the site to be updated to improve visitor and stakeholder experience without losing the Farm’s informal charm.
We proposed a new boundary condition facing onto Allen Gardens that would improve security, open-ness and provide much needed additional accommodation. Elsewhere, key
internal and external spaces were identified including a focal public square around which more informal additions and upgrades could happen meaning the farm could replace obsolete existing buildings and consolidate existing assets.
We have embarked on a series of workshops and consultation events with the farm’s visitors and stakeholders. The outcomes of these events will inform more detailed proposals and we will be working alongside the Farm’s leadership team to secure funding for the works.
