The Fanciful Figures exhibition at the Sir John Soane's museum turns visitors’ attention to ‘staffage’, the small human and animal figures in architectural drawings, which became increasingly popular during the eighteenth century. The exhibition will run from the 22nd of March to the 9th of June 2024.
Our work has been included alongside that of Muf, Office S&M and OMMX; “At the cutting edge of their field, these architects question who is represented in architectural designs and what the impact of this representation of our shared spaces has on how we live.” If you fancy popping along to see the collection, you can find out more information about the exhibition itself here.
Nimi and Tim will be taking part in an online panel discussion with Assistant Curator Dr Erin McKellar and Hikaru Nissanke from OMMX on the use of figures in contemporary architectural practice as a part of the exhibition's program.
