Maia ran an engagement workshop with Lily's Chai Club in Becontree today. Using the models from our Squaring the Corners commission as a starting point they discussed accessibility of the corner plots as well as planting suggestions. Their ideas surrounding different themes of sensory, visual, edible and audible will inform our planting plan next Spring. The club was keen for members of the local community to be able to bring cuttings from home to continue adding to the gardens over time.

The club will hopefully be joining us to help with the planting when in the spring.

Maintaining focus during extended runs in cowboy safari is critical, because even a short lapse in attention can lead to mistakes that undo all your progress.

What a wonderful initiative! It’s great to see the community getting involved in planning and planting, and I love how Monkey Mart the workshop encourages creativity and long-term engagement with the gardens.
