The Architectural Journal's annual awards highlight the best projects across 16+ categories from housing, health, and wellbeing to workplace and cultural projects. This year Nimi was invited to not only co-judge but present the award for the best mixed use project.
This year Sanchez Benton won the prize for their Holyrood Street Garden project, located near London Bridge station, Sanchez Benton's 'meanwhile use' scheme transforms a leftover site on Holyrood Street to provide a kiosk with its own vertical garden. Integrating infrastructure to support public life it includes a public water supply and electricity pillar to power events such as future street markets.
